The beach side suburb of Kawana Waters is located on the Sunshine Coast just a 50 minute drive north from Brisbane. Its beaches, stretching between Mooloolaba to the north and Caloundra to the south are considered to be some of the region's finest and are popular with both locals and visitors from outside the region.

Lake Kawana, located in the centre of Kawana Waters, is a vast water body completed by Stockland as the centre piece to the planned Kawana Town Centre development. Stretching over 2.5km in length, the lake has become a popular destination for water based recreational activities such as rowing, kayaking, canoeing and triathlon competitions. Surrounding the lake, over 8km of walking paths, bikeways and parklands have been created providing numerous opportunities for visitors and residents to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
